Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We visited for the first time for dine in and now this will be our casual Chinese spot. My husband loved his fried spicy chicken cube (extra spicy) and the pan fried pork buns. Dry fried green beans were perfectly cooked and so fresh. We’ll be back to try more.

Went today for a quick snack. I got a bowl of the wonton soup and it came out pretty quick and was really hot. The broth itself was really rich and flavorful and the dumplings didn’t have a soggy texture and were really tasty. The red haired server girl was super nice and got everything out super quick, was super attentive. She made the whole experience very enjoyable.

If you like curry flavors, I highly recommend the curry shrimpβ€”it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The pan-fried pork buns were also amazing, crispy on the bottom and juicy inside. The food tasted very authentic, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a great spot to come back to!
